#legit though this gifset perfectly sums up why she’s my fave #she’s such an unusual character #she’s definitely one of the ‘good guys’ #but she’s also unapologetically ambitious #utterly ruthless #uncompromising#never pointlessly cruel but 100% willing to hurt and kill people to achieve her ends #but she’s also incredibly loyal and fair to the men under her command and has their absolute trust and respect #and she would give her life to protect the innocent people of her country without a second thought #she’s a very complicated character who *seems* very simple at first glance #she’s a good person…but she’s not a nice person #at all (via enigmaticagentalice)

Do not fly too close to the sun, do not fly too low
But a mere glimpse draws him in, and
How does Daedelus expect him to resist,
The temptation of following his dreams?

But wait, his heart whispers, and-

In another world, he doesn’t listen.

In another world, he throws himself into loving Apollo with reckless abandon,
And wax glistens, running down sun-scorched wings
Weighs him down, aided by the pull of another god’s domain
And he falls into Poseidon’s waiting arms instead

But wait, his heart whispers, and-

In this world, he listens.

In this world, he waits, watches as Apollo smiles brighter
The further he is from the sun god, and his heart breaks
But his father’s doesn’t, for he has not lost a son
To a love that will be the death of him

if only mortals can love gods without getting hurt

Taking a quick break. Brain feels like it’s gonna explode.

I have a presentation due in less than 14 hours (in which I also had to include a report for some reason) for a scary strict tutor, a quick meeting in between with a lecturer, something else I had to prepare for in less than 16 hours and a research proposal due in roughly 40 hours (which I can only work on for 12 hours or so if I sleep)

This is what happens when I take on too many things all at once. I feel like grabbing past me’s shoulders and demand answers to questions such as “remind me – why did I think I can do this again??”
